Child Free Salon Policy
At Covet Beauty, we have made the decision to operate as a child-free salon, except where a child is personally booked in to receive a treatment and is accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
This means children, including babies and infants in prams, are unable to accompany clients to appointments.
We understand that arranging childcare isn't always easy, and we appreciate that this policy may require a little extra planning. However, this decision has been made to maintain a safe, professional and relaxing environment for our clients and team.
Why Do We Have This Policy?
Our salon is a professional treatment environment, and there are several important reasons for this policy:
-
Chemical & Product Safety
Our salon contains professional-grade skincare products, chemicals and treatment preparations that may be harmful if touched, inhaled or ingested.
-
Hot Wax & Equipment Safety
Treatments involve hot wax, electrical equipment, sharp tools and other professional implements. These present potential risks of burns or injury, particularly for young children.
-
Supervision Limitations
Our therapists cannot supervise children while performing treatments. Many services require clients to remain still, relax or keep their eyes closed, making it impossible to provide appropriate supervision at the same time.
-
Insurance Requirements
Our insurance arrangements do not provide cover for children attending the salon as companions who are not booked in to receive a treatment.
-
Client Experience
We want Covet to be a place where everyone can switch off, relax and enjoy their treatment without unnecessary interruptions.
Children Receiving Treatments
Children who are personally booked in to receive a treatment may attend with a parent or legal guardian.
The parent or guardian must remain present and take responsibility for their child's supervision and behaviour throughout the visit.
What Happens If You Arrive With an Unbooked Child?
If you arrive with a child who is not booked in to receive a treatment, we may be unable to proceed with your appointment.
Where we cannot safely accommodate the appointment, it may need to be cancelled and the booking deposit may be forfeited in accordance with our cancellation policy.
We kindly ask that you make alternative childcare arrangements before attending your appointment.
Responsibility & Damage
Parents and legal guardians are responsible for supervising children who are attending the salon for their own treatment.
Any damage to salon property, equipment, furnishings or products caused by a child may be recoverable from the responsible parent or guardian, in accordance with applicable laws.
Thank You For Understanding
We know this policy won't suit every family, and that's okay. It is a decision we've made to protect the safety of our clients and team, maintain our insurance requirements and preserve the relaxing salon experience we work hard to provide.
Thank you for respecting our policy and helping us keep Covet a safe and welcoming space for everyone.
